'Mining the Memories’ Project
Delivered by The Northern Film School at Leeds Beckett University the 'Mining the Memories' research project is a new, exciting later life learning opportunity for individuals 55 and over, who have first hand experience of the 1984/85 Miners’ Strike. Through a structured learning programme featuring screenwriting, directing and producing workshops students will tell their stories by making a series of short films about individual experiences of the strikes. This is a unique opportunity for those involved to have their stories heard and for this significant period in history documented for future generations.
